Presentation Planning Document


Presentations play an important role in presenting your Presentation Skills. You have to make a detailed plan of the presentation prior to its presentation. The correct planning of the presentation makes it more effective so you have to make a Good Presentation planning before presenting it. Presentation Planning Document gives you a detail information about planning your presentation. This document contains all the aspects of a good presentation. Here we have divided the presentation into its components like Events, Knowledge Issue, Ways of knowing, Areas of knowledge, Analysis and perspectives, Personal Approach, Implications, Creativity and Format, Bibliography, etc. Presentation Planning Document Word Template is available for download in Doc, PDF and JPEG formats.

As your group completes the background for the presentation, fill out the information below.  It should serve as a guide as you construct your presentation.

[Briefly describe the situation. What was the context, background, etc.?]

Knowledge Issue[1]

[Formally state the knowledge issue found in the current event.  This should be in question form. Explain why it is significant.]

Links

[Your "links" will be connections to other TOK concepts, situations, etc.  Don't feel you need to include every possible link. Only discuss the ones that appear to matter most.]

Ways of Knowing

[List ways of knowing that would be relevant to the discussion. Explain why they matter. Be specific.]

Areas of Knowledge

[List Areas of Knowledge that would be relevant to the discussion. Explain why they matter. Be specific. (Only discuss Arts or History.  Some limited Ethical discussion may also be included if you feel that it's highly relevant, but this will require you to explore this topic on your own via the textbook.)]

Analysis & Perspectives

[Why does this knowledge issue matter? Why is it significant? What are different points of view on the issue? How do we reconcile them?]

Personal Approach

[How/why does this matter to you and your knowledge or experience, if at all?]

Implications

[Why are the implications of any one of the perspectives of the knowledge issue? How do we reconcile different approaches?]

Creativity & Format

[How will the presentation be designed and carried out? How will it be made personal or creative? How will it include all group members?]

Bibliography

[List all sources used or consulted.  Resources aren't required in the formal sense, but if you're using specific news articles or media items, they should be cited.] 



[1]A knowledge issue is (1) an open-ended question, (2) that uses TOK terminology, (3) is specifically about knowledge, and (4) is precise in its wording & scope
